Why we made this
If the grid gets weird, 147.555 MHz (simplex + tone) is one quiet place to check in. It's not one of the crowded calling channels, just a less obvious option. It's where we'll be looking for you if it ever actually goes dark.
Now's a good time to check in on the people you care about. If you've got people close to you, sit down and sketch a simple off-grid plan: rally points, comms, water, food and roles. Nothing dramatic, just written down so you're not figuring it out later. It's not paranoia. It's an echo that seems to be getting louder, and we've seen a thing or two.
Already bought the truck tent? You're ahead of most. Keep stacking the small practical pieces: water, batteries, snacks, the essentials.
Stay sharp. Stay safe out there. We care about you guys.
Note: 147.555 MHz is in the 2-meter amateur band. Transmitting requires an FCC amateur radio license; anyone can listen.
